What it is good for
You found a room you love in a magazine, online, in a hotel or at a friend's home, and wonder how that look would work in yours. Style transfer answers with a picture. It suits a look that has no name or mixes several styles, one you could not pick from a list. Use it to try a saved idea before you buy anything, to compare two rooms you like on the same photo of your room, or to show someone the look you mean.
Tips for the two photos
Take the photo of your room in daylight, with the lights on, from a doorway or a corner, holding the phone level at chest height so the floor and two walls show. Put away small clutter first. For the style photo, choose one clear picture of a whole room, not a close-up of a single chair or a collage of several rooms. The same kind of room as yours works best: a bedroom copies best onto a bedroom.
What it does not do
The result is a picture of an idea. It keeps the walls, windows, doors, ceiling and camera angle of your photo, and takes the colors, materials, furniture style, decor and mood of the style photo, but not its layout or architecture. Your furniture may be replaced by new pieces in that style. It does not find or order the products in the style photo, measure your room or check what can be built.
