New Year's Eve

Gold, silver and a champagne corner

Free · 3 designs a day

New Year's Eve is one of Renova's 15 occasion themes. Upload a photo of your room, house or garden, and it decorates that same space for the night: gold and silver balloons and garlands, confetti, sparkling string lights and a champagne corner with glasses and a bottle on ice. It is for anyone planning a party at home.

How it works

  1. Upload a photo of your room, house or garden
  2. See the result, then save it or keep going

When it helps

Use it in the weeks before the party, while you decide where it happens and what to buy: a living room for a few friends, a dining table for a family dinner before midnight, a balcony where you will watch the fireworks, or a back deck on a summer night south of the equator. Try two spaces in the same home and compare them, then show the idea to whoever is hosting with you before you buy balloons and lights.

Tips for the photo

Photograph the space where people will gather, from where they first see it, such as the doorway of the room or the door to the balcony. Clear away bags, laundry and anything you would tidy before guests arrive. Hold the phone level at chest height and include the places where decorations could go: a wall for balloons, a sideboard or counter for the champagne corner, the table and some of the ceiling. Daylight gives the clearest photo, and an evening photo with the lamps on works too.

What it does not do

Each result is an idea shown as a picture. It keeps your furniture, walls, floor, windows, doors, plants and camera angle, and adds only what could be brought in for the night and cleared away after, though small details may shift. It usually turns the light to evening, so the string lights glow. It writes no words on banners or balloons, and it does not order decorations or count what to buy.

Questions and answers

Is it free to try?

Yes. The free plan gives you 3 designs a day, and each decorated photo counts as one. Pro raises that to 50 designs a day and removes the watermark.

Does it work on a balcony or in a garden?

Yes. Upload a photo of a balcony, a terrace, a deck or a garden, and it decorates the space outdoors in the same spirit, keeping the house, the furniture and the plants as they are.

Can I use a photo taken in daylight?

Yes. The design usually shows the space in the evening with the string lights on, even from a daylight photo, and daylight shows your space most clearly.

Can I choose the colors or the decorations?

Not in this theme: New Year's Eve has no options, so each design picks its own arrangement in gold and silver. Make it again from the same photo to see another version.
