Hanukkah takes a photo of your room, house or garden and shows that same space decorated for the holiday: a lit nine-branch menorah in the window, blue and silver garlands, Star of David decorations and warm candlelight. It is one of Renova's 15 occasion themes, for anyone who wants to see the look before decorating.
How it works
- Upload a photo of your room, house or garden
- See the result, then save it or keep going
Examples

What it is good for
Use it before the eight nights begin: to decide which window gets the menorah, whether the living room or the dining room gets the blue and silver, or how the room could look for a party with family and friends. It helps when you share a home and want to agree on the look, or when you celebrate in a new flat for the first time. Try the living room, the dining room and the front porch to compare them, and send the pictures to whoever is decorating with you.
Tips for the photo
Photograph the room or the front of the house where you will celebrate, with a window in the frame, since that is where the menorah goes. Stand in a corner at chest height, hold the phone level and include some floor and the table or windowsill. Clear away boxes, laundry and cables first: what is in the photo stays in the result. Daylight and lamplight both work, because the decorations are shown in the evening with the candles lit.
What it does not do
Each result is an idea shown as a picture. It keeps your furniture, walls, floor, windows, doors, plants and camera angle, and adds only what could be brought in for the holiday and put away after, though small details may shift. It adds no words or letters in any alphabet, so there are no greetings or signs. It does not order decorations, put anything up or measure your window.
