Diwali

Diyas, rangoli and marigolds

Free · 3 designs a day

Diwali is one of Renova's 15 occasion themes. Upload a photo of your room, house or garden, and it decorates that same space for Diwali at dusk: glowing clay diyas, a rangoli at the entrance, marigold torans over the doors, paper lanterns and string lights. It is for anyone who wants to see the decorations before the festival.

How it works

  1. Upload a photo of your room, house or garden
  2. See the result, then save it or keep going

When it helps

Use it in the weeks before Diwali, or Deepavali, while you decide how to decorate: which door gets the toran, where the diyas go along the steps or the balcony, and where a rangoli would sit at the entrance. It works for a flat, a family house, a front porch or a garden, so you can compare the inside and the outside, and show the family an idea before you go shopping for lamps and flowers.

Tips for the photo

Take the photo of the place you will decorate: the entrance with its door, the living room or the balcony. Put away shoes, bags and anything you would tidy before guests arrive. Stand back far enough to include the door frame and some floor in front of it, because that is where the torans and the rangoli go. Hold the phone level at chest height. Daylight gives the clearest photo; the design shows the space at dusk, with the diyas lit.

What it does not do

Each result is an idea shown as a picture. It keeps your furniture, walls, floor, windows, doors, plants and camera angle, and adds only what could be put up for the festival and taken down after, though small details may shift. It adds no statues or pictures of deities, and it writes no words, so the rangoli carries no greeting. It does not measure, order decorations or give you a rangoli pattern to draw.

Questions and answers

Is it free to try?

Yes. The free plan gives you 3 designs a day, and each decorated photo counts as one. Pro raises that to 50 designs a day and removes the watermark.

Will it add statues or pictures of gods?

No. The designs add no statues or pictures of deities. They decorate around what your photo already shows, with lamps, flowers, rangoli and lights.

Can I decorate the outside of my house?

Yes. Upload a photo of your front door, porch, balcony or garden, and it decorates the space outdoors in the same spirit, keeping the house, plants and paths as they are.

Can I choose the colors or the rangoli design?

Not in this theme: Diwali has no options, so each design picks its own colors and rangoli. Make it again from the same photo to see another version.
